Questions about the trial lesson
Yes. Every learner at Virtual Quran Center starts with a free trial lesson with no payment details required. It is a real lesson with the teacher we propose, followed by a written recommendation, and you decide afterwards. If the fit with the teacher is wrong for any reason, tell the coordinator and a second trial with a different teacher is arranged, also free. See What Happens in the Trial
Fill in the short form on this page: who is learning, their age and level, what they want to achieve, preferred times and a teacher preference. A coordinator at Virtual Quran Center proposes a teacher and confirms trial times in your zone. The form takes about two minutes, and if you would rather ask a question first a coordinator answers on WhatsApp. See the Steps After Booking
The teacher meets the learner, listens to them read if they can or starts with the letters, discusses goals, and recommends a course, level and schedule. Virtual Quran Center sends that recommendation in writing after the lesson. For a child the teacher teaches the first two or three letters properly, so the child leaves having learned something and the parent has seen how the teacher works. No. Virtual Quran Center never asks for payment details for the trial. Payment is taken monthly by card only after you confirm a plan. There is no registration fee, no materials fee and no contract afterwards either; the monthly plan is the whole cost. A second trial with a different teacher, if the first is not the right fit, is free as well. See How Payment Works
Yes. The trial is where the teacher meets your child, sees what they know and shows you how they teach. Virtual Quran Center recommends a parent sits nearby for a young child. Readiness is judged gently in the trial, and the teacher tells you honestly if a younger child would do better waiting a few months. Explore Quran Classes for Kids
Yes. Adults read or recite a short passage and the teacher names, honestly and specifically, what is strong and what needs work. Virtual Quran Center then recommends a starting point. You may keep your camera off if you prefer; the teacher shares the text and needs to hear you, not see you. Adults who assumed they needed the Qaida often read better than they think, and the teacher places them accordingly. Explore Quran Classes for Adults
Yes. State your preference on the form and Virtual Quran Center proposes accordingly, telling you honestly if nobody of that preference is free at your times. Camera preferences for girls and women are agreed with the teacher before the lesson, and lessons are never recorded without consent. Female teachers cover every course, including Tajweed and Hifz. Yes. Recite a short passage in the trial and the teacher tells you which rules need work, with a plan for them. If your reading is not yet fluent enough for Tajweed, the teacher will say so honestly and recommend the reading course first. The written recommendation afterwards names the rules to work on first, so the plan is specific from the start. See the Tajweed Course
Yes. The teacher hears the learner read and recite, assesses Tajweed, and recommends whether to begin Hifz now or after a short preparation. Learners who are not yet ready for full Hifz are usually offered short-surah memorisation or a Tajweed course first, with Hifz to follow. The written recommendation sets out a first month's plan, including the daily portion and the revision pattern. See the Hifz Programme
Yes. The trial is where the teacher finds out what you know, often more than you think, and starts from exactly there. Virtual Quran Center teaches beginners from the first letter. Adults who assumed they needed the Qaida often read better than they think, and the teacher places them accordingly. The lesson is one-to-one, so there is no group to feel self-conscious in front of. See the Beginner Course
The trial is a full lesson rather than a short call; the teacher confirms the exact timing when your slot is arranged. Virtual Quran Center treats it as the first real lesson, not a sales conversation. For a young child the lesson is kept short and finishes before attention fails; for an adult it runs long enough to hear a passage and discuss goals. See How Lessons Run
Yes. The teacher places the learner within our seven-level framework, from the alphabet to advanced recitation, and states it in the written recommendation. Virtual Quran Center's online questionnaire gives a preliminary suggestion only. The level is a placement tool for tracking progress, not a grade, and other academies use different systems. Progress is then tracked against the same framework in the monthly summary, so movement is visible over months. Take the Level Questionnaire First
You give your preferred days and times on the form, shown in your own time zone, and a coordinator confirms a slot with the proposed teacher. Virtual Quran Center works across UK and US hours. Popular after-school slots fill first, particularly with female teachers, so giving a few alternatives on the form helps. The clock changes are handled for you, so a slot booked at half past four stays at half past four. See How Scheduling Works
A phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone, a stable connection and a quiet spot. Virtual Quran Center shares the text on screen; nothing needs to be bought. For a young child, a parent nearby for the first lesson helps them settle, and a printed Qaida is optional. The teacher confirms the video-call app before the lesson, and nothing needs to be bought. You receive a written recommendation: course, starting level, lesson length, weekly rhythm and a first milestone. You can accept it, ask for changes, or decide not to continue. Virtual Quran Center takes no payment until you confirm a plan. A typical first milestone is finishing a named section of the Qaida or reading a specific surah, so the first month has a concrete goal. See the Plans
No. The trial carries no obligation. Many families take a few days to decide, and Virtual Quran Center does not chase. If you do continue, you choose the days and times, confirm a plan, and only then is payment taken monthly by card. Many families take a few days to decide, and there is no follow-up pressure. Yes. If the fit is wrong for any reason, tell the coordinator and Virtual Quran Center proposes another teacher for a second trial. A mismatch of manner or pace is a perfectly good reason, and the second trial is free too. The notes from the first trial are passed on, so the second teacher starts from what was learned. See How Matching Works
As soon as a suitable teacher has a slot at your preferred times; the coordinator confirms after you book. Popular after-school slots fill first, so Virtual Quran Center suggests booking early. Once the trial is done and you confirm a plan, regular lessons begin at the fixed weekly times you chose. Giving a few alternative times on the form helps the coordinator find a slot sooner.
