Online Quran Classes for Women
Private lessons with female teachers where available, scheduled around motherhood, study and work.
Two things sisters ask for first
A female teacher, and a time that actually works. We built this programme around both. If a female teacher is not available for your exact slot, we say so and offer alternatives rather than assigning outside your preference.
- Female teachers where available
- Camera optional; audio is what matters
- Lessons during school hours, nap times, early mornings or late evenings
- Pause and resume around Ramadan, birth or exams
- Beginner to advanced Tajweed and Hifz
- Meet the teacher and say what you hope for
- Read or listen to Al-Fatihah together
- Leave with a course, a starting level and a time
Free 30-minute lesson. No card, no obligation.

Your lesson, your teacher, your time.
Choose a female teacher, pick a slot while the house is quiet, and learn without an audience. Reading, Tajweed or Hifz, from wherever you are.

Online Quran classes for women: private, flexible, taught by a woman if you wish
Women who search for Quran classes for women online or Quran classes for sisters are usually asking three things at once: can I have a female teacher, can I learn without an audience, and can it fit around a day that already belongs to other people? The answer to all three is yes, and this page explains how, without dressing it up.
A female teacher, if you want one
Choose a female teacher when you book and the coordinator matches you with one. Our female teachers teach every course, from the alphabet to Tajweed and Hifz, so the choice never limits what you can learn. If no female teacher is free at your first-choice time we tell you and offer the nearest alternatives; we do not quietly substitute a male teacher. The female Quran teachers page describes the process and the honest picture on availability.
Where women usually start
From the beginning. Many adult women never had the chance to learn, or learned a little as girls and lost it. The Noorani Qaida taught at an adult pace, with explanations rather than drills, takes a complete beginner to reading vowelled words and then short surahs. There is nothing childish about learning the letters as an adult; the teacher will not treat it as if there were.
Returning after years away. If you read as a teenager and have not since, a surprising amount comes back within weeks. The teacher establishes in the trial exactly what has stayed and what has gone, and the lessons move quickly through the first and carefully through the second.
Reading well, but without Tajweed. Fluent readers who were never taught the rules often hear their own mistakes without being able to name them. A structured Tajweed course fixes that one rule at a time, applied in your own recitation rather than in theory.
Memorising. Whether it is Juz Amma or a full Hifz programme, memorisation for adults depends on a revision system that protects what has already been learned. Our Hifz classes explain the method: new portion, recent revision, older revision, every lesson.
Understanding. Women who already recite well often want to understand what they are reciting. The Arabic for Quran course builds the vocabulary and grammar for exactly that.
Lessons that fit a woman's day
The day of a woman running a household, working, or both, rarely has a free hour at a predictable time. Private lessons help because each slot belongs to one learner and can sit where the quiet actually is: early morning before the house wakes, mid-morning after the school run, or late evening after bedtime. Two or three lessons a week of thirty or forty-five minutes is the usual rhythm. Slots are fixed weekly, can be moved with twenty-four hours' notice, and can be paused around Ramadan, travel, a new baby or exam season without losing your teacher.
Privacy in the lesson
Nobody else is in the call. You can keep your camera off; the teacher shares the text on screen and needs to hear you read, not see you. Lessons are never recorded without your consent. Our recording policy is published on the safeguarding page. For many women this is the detail that makes the difference between intending to learn and actually learning, so it is worth saying plainly.
Learning alongside your children
Some of our mothers learn in the slot immediately before or after their child's lesson, with the same female teacher. The family plan puts everyone on one account and one invoice, and each learner keeps their own plan, so a mother working on Tajweed and a daughter on the Qaida are taught as the different learners they are.
Women new to Islam
If you have recently embraced Islam, the starting point is Al-Fatihah and the short surahs needed for prayer, learned by ear first, then by reading. Nothing is assumed about what you already know, and every question is welcome. Our page for new Muslims lays out the whole path.
What it costs and how to begin
The trial lesson is free and needs no payment details. Plans afterwards are monthly and depend on lessons per week and lesson length; the pricing page shows them. Book the free trial, choose a female teacher if you wish, and tell us the times that are actually yours.
Questions people ask before booking
Women learn Quran online with Virtual Quran Center through private video lessons with a female teacher on request, at fixed weekly times in their own time zone, from the alphabet to Tajweed and memorisation. Lessons can sit early in the morning before the house wakes, mid-morning after the school run, or late in the evening, because each slot belongs to one learner. Book Your Quran Trial Class
Yes. Virtual Quran Center offers a Quran for Women course and adapts every other course for women learners: female teachers on request, privacy in the lesson, and slots placed where a woman's day is quiet. Women come from every starting point: never learned, learned as girls and lost it, read fluently without Tajweed, or want to memorise, and the teacher places each in the trial. See the Quran for Women Course
Yes. Request a female teacher when you book with Virtual Quran Center. Our female teachers teach every course, and we tell you honestly if none is free at your first-choice time. Female teachers cover Qaida, reading, Tajweed, memorisation and Quranic Arabic, and camera preferences are agreed with the teacher before the first lesson. The same female teacher takes every lesson from then on and writes a short note after each one. Find a Female Quran Teacher
Yes. Many adult women start from the letters with Virtual Quran Center and clear the alphabet within weeks once the script is explained. The lesson is private and the pace is yours. The Qaida is taught with explanations of why a letter changes shape or a mark changes a sound, which adults find genuinely interesting and remember. Start as a Beginner
Yes. Sisters learn one-to-one with Virtual Quran Center, with a female teacher on request and the option to keep the camera off. Nobody else is in the lesson. Lessons are never recorded without your consent, and the recording policy is published in full on the safeguarding page. Slots can sit early in the morning, mid-morning after the school run or late in the evening, because each belongs to one learner. See Classes for Sisters
Yes. Women who read fluently but were never taught the rules take the Tajweed course at Virtual Quran Center, one rule at a time in their own recitation, with a female teacher if preferred. The first lesson usually names three or four specific errors in your recitation, and most women hear a clear improvement within the first month. Join Online Tajweed Classes
Yes. Women memorise chosen surahs or follow a full Hifz programme with Virtual Quran Center, with a revision system and a female teacher who hears every portion from memory. Many women aim first at the surahs recited in prayer, then a juz, then decide about the rest, and each stage is planned as a real goal. Start Memorising With a Female Teacher
Yes. Every lesson at Virtual Quran Center is one-to-one; there are no group classes for anyone. The lesson is a private video call with a female teacher on request, and the camera can stay off because the text is on the teacher's screen. The same teacher keeps your notes and plan week to week, and lessons can be paused around Ramadan or a new baby without losing her. Book Private Quran Lessons
Yes. Slots can sit early in the morning, mid-morning after the school run, or late in the evening, because each belongs to one learner. Virtual Quran Center also lets mothers learn in the slot next to their children's lessons. Two or three lessons a week of thirty or forty-five minutes is the usual rhythm, and the plan can be paused around a new baby or Ramadan without losing the teacher. See the Family Plan
Yes. Late-evening slots after bedtime are among the most requested by women at Virtual Quran Center and are covered by teachers working UK and US hours. A late slot stays yours week after week and can be moved with 24 hours' notice when the evening does not go to plan. Many women memorise or practise during the day and recite in the evening lesson, which suits Hifz and Tajweed learners particularly well. Book an Evening Lesson
Yes. Weekend mornings are available in your own time zone, subject to teacher availability, which Virtual Quran Center confirms before the trial. Many mothers choose a weekend morning slot while the household is still quiet, and keep it fixed week to week. Some women combine one weekday evening lesson with one weekend morning, which keeps the rhythm without crowding the week. Ask About Weekend Slots
Yes. Reading is learned before understanding, starting with the letters. Virtual Quran Center assumes no Arabic and offers Arabic for Quran later for understanding. Most Muslims read the Quran long before they understand a word of it, so the script comes first and understanding is a separate course for those who want it. The Qaida is taught with explanations of why a letter changes shape or a mark changes a sound, which adults find genuinely interesting. Learn Noorani Qaida Online
Two or three lessons a week of thirty or forty-five minutes is the usual rhythm, with more for memorisation. Virtual Quran Center teachers recommend a rhythm after the trial and it can change with your circumstances. A few minutes of practice between lessons matters more than lesson length, and the teacher sets a specific passage each time. Compare Weekly Plans
Yes. State your preferences and Virtual Quran Center proposes a teacher; you meet her in the trial and we propose another if the fit is wrong. As profiles are published you can also request a named female teacher, and we tell you honestly whether she is free at your times. We match rather than show a list because availability at your exact time decides most matches, and a list rewards the best-written profile. See How Matching Works
Yes. One free trial lesson with no payment details, with a female teacher if you request one. The teacher hears you read or starts from the letters, then sends a written recommendation for a course, level and weekly rhythm. You may keep your camera off in the trial, nobody hears you read except the teacher, and a second trial with a different teacher is free if the first is not the right fit. Book Your Free Trial
The monthly price is set by lessons per week and lesson length, billed monthly in USD, GBP, CAD or AUD, and is the same whichever teacher you choose. Virtual Quran Center shows every monthly fee on the pricing page, from $29 (£25) a month. There is no premium for a female teacher and no registration fee; the plan builder on the pricing page shows how lessons per week and lesson length combine. View Quran Class Pricing
Yes. The Tajweed course names the specific errors in your recitation and fixes them one at a time. Virtual Quran Center teaches it privately, with a female teacher if preferred. Long-standing errors are habits, and habits change with a teacher who stops you in the moment and a short passage to recite daily. Most women hear a clear improvement within the first month, because the errors are few and specific once identified. Improve Your Recitation
Noorani Qaida if starting from the letters; Quran reading if you read slowly; Tajweed if you read fluently; memorisation or Arabic for Quran if you already recite well. The teacher at Virtual Quran Center confirms it by hearing you in the trial. Women are often placed further along than they expected; many who assumed they needed the Qaida read better than they think. Find Your Starting Course
