What you need
- A device: phone, tablet or laptop. A larger screen helps children.
- A stable connection. Audio quality matters more than video.
- Headphones, ideally, so the teacher can hear you clearly and you can hear them.
- A quiet space, with a parent nearby for young children.
Step by step
- Book a trial. Tell us who is learning, the goal, teacher preference and available times. See free trial.
- Get matched. We propose a teacher who fits the learner and the time zone.
- Trial lesson. The teacher meets the learner, hears them read (if they can) and discusses goals.
- Learning plan. You receive a recommended course, starting level, lesson frequency and duration.
- Regular lessons. Same teacher, same weekly slots. Reschedule with notice when needed.
- Progress. Lesson notes, homework and milestones appear in your dashboard; a monthly summary is sent to parents.
What happens in a typical 30-minute lesson
- 5 minutes: revision of the last lesson.
- 15–20 minutes: new material, read and corrected.
- 5 minutes: quick memorisation piece or Tajweed point, and the home task.
What a lesson is not
It is not a recorded video course, not a group webinar, and not an app. It is a person listening to you read.
Which platform?
Lessons run over a standard video calling platform; you receive the link when you book. Lessons are not recorded without consent, as described in our safeguarding policy.
